we made it to Rio de Janeiro sunday night and who should be exiting our hotel just as we are driving up?? Tim Powers, Adam's former BYU swim coach, and his wife Patsy. we knew they were in Rio for the week before us and also staying at the same place, but we thought we would miss them. not so! we talked for 5 minutes, tim told adam everything he did in true tim style and patsy told me everything we had to do during our stay. they were there on business -- to see some of his swimmers swim and to recruit. it was great to see them and they hopped in our cab and took it to the airport.
