Adam had a siblings weekend in New Mexico and the kids and I went to Wenatchee to enjoy their annual Apple Blossom Festival. On the way, we stopped at Country Boys BBQ in Cashmere. We do not take this amazing American food for granted. YUM.
We did the one mile fun run with the kids.
Cutest little runners in the world. It was so fun to run with them. They'd never done anything that long. As we passed Buddy's Home Furnishings on main street Sienna mentioned she'd like to be in there resting on a couch instead. It became the joke that got us through the race. Violet (the littlest) crushed us all and got a medal!
It was the 100th year celebration and the parade lasted 2 1/2 hours! We were roasted and toasted.
Carrie's mother-in-law just finished her backyard pool. We benefitted greatly!
Before we drove home on Sunday, we went "bouldering" with the Warners. This is the way they hike - climbing over boulders.
Kids loved it. No complaining from them because they were too busy using their brains to execute the tricky footwork needed to conquer each boulder. No complaining from me, then, either!
Central Washington is about as gorgeous as it gets! We love living nearby!
