June brought some relief in the form of our first haircuts in months. Amazing!!! 

Kids wrapped up the horror that was the very insufficiently cobbled together school situation.

We celebrated with ice cream at Ben & Jerry's in Green Lake.

Kids were playing regularly with their neighborhood friends since May, mostly outside, but sometimes inside. We tried our hand at making homemade doggy treats and Cleo loved them!

I can't get this photo to stay rotated but I love it so much. It encapsulates this little squad so perfectly. Biking, scooting, hanging with the dogs (Cleo and Daisy), eating all the snacks while chilling on the porch, using their walkie talkies that they bought with their pooled allowance money. This is the best of childhood.

Also a moment of excitement when the local Barnes & Noble reopened and we all got to go. 

We decided to escape Washington and drive to Utah for my Hullinger family reunion at Bear Lake. We stopped in to see Heather and family in Twin Falls. Canoeing to Perrine bridge was so fun for all of us.

Haven's dummy has a crush on Noah and he was trying to fend her off.

SO FUN to see my entire family. Every single person made it except my one nephew, Hunter, who had just started a new job. So fun. So fun. Such a nice break from the reality in Seattle. Utah felt like another planet.

Then we changed our plans and drove back home to Seattle when one of my brothers tested positive for Covid. Yikes. I hated coming home and didn't know what we'd do with the rest of our summer. We had planned to stay gone longer, but alas, Covid got us...

But not US specifically. We didn't get it. We just quarantined for two weeks and tried not to maim each other. Happy end of June!
