May Birthdays

May is birthday month and these three keep me busy! Adam turned 38, Sienna turned 10, and Noah turned 8. Wow wow wow.

First up: Adam! He's the best. What can I say? He's the reason we're all alive and well. I didn't have time this year to make anyone's cake from scratch (and cakes are the most important part of a birthday, in my opinion), but nobody was sad about this store bought angel food / strawberry shortcake situation.
Sienna's the greatest little 10 year old in town. I made a flower pot cake. Store bought pound cake with ice cream plus Oreos for dirt and flowers stuck on top. Booyah.

She asked for a pogo stick and she got that pogo stick. It's still a little stiff, though, so she'll have to grow with it.
Slime is all the rage these days, so she got some of that from Grandma Diane.

We had a fun party for her. Cupcake decorating with Carmen, Suavai, Zoey, and Izzy. And Noah. Obvs.

Noah's birthday party was pizza making with Gemma, Mirabelle, Maxx and Ben. And Sienna. Obvs.

Fishy cracker cake for the fishy cracker super fan.

He asked for a million dollars and Ben delivered.

We love our May birthday babies!

April

April 1 is my little brother, Owen's, birthday, and my sister and I went to Boise to see him and celebrate.
Heather made the cake which was very yummy and very pretty.

 We went plant shopping.

We ate alll the food. I love Boise. Their food scene is real good.

 We went running.
We walked to the Co-op and asked someone to take our picture.
We shopped for wide leg jeans.

We took pictures in front of exposed brick. Who did it better?

Not pictured: laughing until we cried. We had a blast.

BONUS:
Mom with the three of us sometime after Owen was born.

I went snow-shoeing with Sienna's class.

Noah started baseball.
DAB.
Noah has a death grip leg hug for us every morning.
We hung out with Carrie's kids at a Bellevue park while she and Nick went to the temple.

 Noah's class had a jog-a-thon. I wasn't there but I guess he ran a lot?
We took the kids to the Greenlake community Easter Egg hunt. It didn't have any candy - just savory snacks, the occasional chocolate chip cookie bag, and reusable grocery sacks. This prompted Sienna to exclaim: "This is why Seattle is the worst!"

We had a co-worker of Adam's over for dinner and egg dyeing.

And that was April!

March

Every March kicks off with my birthday ... and everyone forgetting that it's my birthday. It's all good! I reminded Adam just in time and he pulled it off nicely. And even if he hadn't, I'm an adult and I can make my own birthday fun.

The weekend started off just right. My friend, Morgan, and I were born on the same day, same year. Twinners. We got together to eat giant cinnamon rolls and catch up on life.

Adam and the kids nailed it with the cake and treats and cards and gifts.

There was that one random day when the weather was legit perfect and I was sure winter was over for good.

HA. That did not happen. But the rest of March happened with no pics because I think I was knee deep in school.
