Halloween Highlights

We were basically a two-headed ghost. The queen sized sheet would not make two lone costumes after all. And the bishop outlawed masks...hence our raggity look. Check out the cute bat I made at Young Womens.

This little cow is sooooooo cute.

Woopie Cushion lady

The girl looks like me when I was little.

Two supermen came.

Vote for Vance! (Vista's very own Mayor Vance is in our ward and he just got re-elected thanks to this kid's campaigning)

A cereal killer also came. No one was harmed.

6 Whole Months...

To commemorate 6 whole months (to the DAY) of being wed, I will now recite a short poem.

Being wed
Is so much fun
It's much more fun
Than using a gun [to solve your problems]
Why not have two
When one is no fun
One is not as fun
As two in the sun

We spent our first month
In an extended stay hotel
Every night, we smelled a different smell
Our neighbors were temporary
But our friends would long last
Past the trip across the country
We made it to California from Tewksbury, Mass. FAST!

Now home is Vista
And everyday is just that
The seasons don't change here
Every Saturday at the beach we have sat
Permanent jobs, small apartment, steep rent
6 months and beyond
Can make two people get bent [out of shape]

Yet, marriage is still good
We're happy and bright
Divide household duties
And no one gets a nosebleed from a fight
Adam is swell
I think we'll take this relationship pell mell
6 months and beyond
Of each other, we are quite fond

I think I will delete this poem tomorrow.

The VON came too! We've decided he deserves to just go by his first name because he is THAT cool. Von. The Von. Not to be confused with the CA grocery store, VON's. It was SO fun to get together with some other former Bean-town residents and share what gossip we know about the current Bean-town residents. That Mitt Romney...he is so totally running in '08.
Our friend A-Has (Amanda Haslam) that we knew in Boston was back in her hometown of Upland, CA for a few weeks and invited us to her b-day party.

No sniveling by the beach.

THIS is why I was at the beach for a whole lonely morning. It all started when a friend said "If you want to have a beach bonfire, you MUST go at 7 am in the morning to reserve a pit." I volunteered to do the morning shift but got there at 9 am (because we got locked out of our house the night before and that's an entire story in and of itself). Well, nobody came to any of the other pits ALL day. So reserving the pit was totally unnecessary...but we did have a fun beach bonfire in the end. A bunch of couples from our ward came and it ended up being worth it.

pretty palms

This was a lone tree at the beach that stood by me as I was a lone sitter at the beach. (yes, same story, coming later)
